Thanks for checking in. It's been a fun ride, and I hope the best is still ahead. I got back from overseas service with the U. S. Army in the late 1950's, and was introduced by my first publisher, Lowery Music, to a young Steve Dorff. We've been writing ever since. Shortly after that, I took a young Jimmy Buffett to Nashville, where he cut three songs on a demo session of mine. He hasn't done too bad since then.
Signing with legendary publisher, writer, and producer, Snuff Garrett led to #1 film hits like "Every Which Way But Loose" for the Clint Eastwood movie of the same name, and "Any Which Way You Can," the successful sequel, where Glen Campbell took the title song top five. In between those two, the film, Bronco Billy, included the #1 hit "Bar Room Buddies," performed by Clint and Merle Haggard.
More recently, our indie film, "Mi Amigo," which included such actors as Josh Holloway ("Lost"), Ed Bruce ("Maverick"), Channon Roe ("Buffy The Vampire Slayer"), Jo Harvey Allen ("Fried Green Tomatoes"), Burton Gilliam ("Blazing Saddles"), Tom Everett ("Air Force One"), and others. Musicians included Ed, Joe Diffie, Freddy Fender, Thom Bresh, Janie Fricke, and others.
Enjoy, and let us hear from you.
